Nhat Long will return to the tower after 7 months of rest. This time the "Shaolin First" will be Saiyok Pumphanmuang, the big name of Muay village.
On April 9, official information from kickboxing champion Wu Lin Feng said Chinese martial arts star Yin Long will battle with rival Saiyok Pumphanmuang on June 2.
Saiyok is a well known name in Muay village. Started training since the age of 11, so far, Thai boxers played a total of 299 matches, including 247 wins. The 34-year-old has held the prestigious WMO belt as well as national champion in two weight classes.
Possession of the table is very strong, however, Saiyok did not show much in China by winning only one of five times. Earlier this year, the boxer lost just as easily knock-out before the less famous opponent Chajanon.
On the opposite side, Nhat Long is no stranger to the rivals from the Golden Temple. "First Shaolin" had one win, one lost when faced with "Muay Thai" Buakaw.
In 11/2017, Nhat Long received a total defeat when he joined the kickboxing world No. 1 Sitthichai. After this battle, the criticism from the fans caused the 30 year old boxer to stay out of the media for a while and counted on retirement.
After all, the fistfighters from Shandong Province are determined to return and will be heading to the capital in June.
Commenting on Wu Lin Feng's performance, Xenhua said: "Although Saiyok is not as strong as before, it is not easy for Nhat Long, especially in the knock-out goal of the opponent. On the whole, the possibility of winning higher belongs to "First Shaolin" despite the results can be controversial.
